All material chosen to be exhibited in The International Book Fair Venezuela 2005 should be dispatched by the publisher, complying with the following guidelines:
Customs procedures in Venezuela The National Book Council (CENTRO NACIONAL DEL LIBRO), a branch of the Ministry of Culture, will be responsible for contracting the private services of a customs agent, expert in nationalization of imported or exported books. What follows below are the details of information and documents necessary to claim any merchandise from customs:

These rates are subject to change in accordance with the publication of official rates by the Chamber of Road Haulers (Cámara de Transportistas) in Puerto de La Guaira. Note The National Book Council (CENTRO NACIONAL DEL LIBRO) will collect payment from each exhibitor at his stand, for the cost of nationalization of shipments The exhibitor will have previously received a bill to this effect (with all supporting documents). The publisher will settle this account promptly either in Bolivars or Dollars. For Customs purposes, the donation of non-profit books, made to the Ministry of Culture or any other Venezuelan institution, must perceive an estimated value in Dollars made out in a bill or on a list with a description of the books; furthermore, a letter should be attached, where it explains the reasons for the gift of the merchandise on behalf of the institution in the country of origin to the institution in the country it is destined for (Venezuela). Security of Goods Security personnel will count the number of cases or crates delivered to the Fair site and the exhibitor must keep in his stand a daily record of an inventory at the end of each day’s sales until the end of the Fair. This inventory will be shown to the authorized personnel in charge of the safekeeping of the goods. All merchandise may be partly or fully insured by the Seguros La Oriental insurance company. Those interested may contact the insurers directly or conduct transactions through the National Book Council (Centro Nacional del Libro), detailing beforehand information of the goods to be insured.
