(Caracas, 1988) [ español ] A student of the first semester at the School of of Arts of the Central University of Venezuela. She is a member of the National Network of Promoters of Reading and the CONAC's Arts High School Circuit, as well as co-publisher of the literary Web site www.alaspurpuras.com. She has participated in diverse workshops on poetry and reading promotion, among others: Monte Avila Editores Poetry workshop with William Osuna in 2004 and CONAC Literature Department Reading Promotion workshop with Juan Calzadilla Arreaza in 2005. She has been invited to recite in diverse events, such as: International Week of Poetry at the ‘Andrés Bello' National House of Arts (July, 2004), within the framework of the 2005 2 nd Poetry Festival ‘Venezuela 2005' , Ministry of Culture and CONAC; the National Reading Promoters Meeting within the framework of the 2005 ‘Ramón Palomares Biennial, Trujillo, and the 5th ‘Juan Beroes' Biennial of Poetry at the National High School Students Meeting ‘Los jóvenes toman la palabra', San Cristóbal, 2005. She has been awarded a variety of poetry prizes: Finalist in the 2004 9th High School Students Poetry National Contest by ‘Andrés Bello' National House of Arts. She is a winner of the Greater Contest of Arts, for her book Acordes del Mañana [Tomorrow's Strains] published in the ‘Cada día un libro' collection, State Ministry for Culture. |
