DANNYBAL CARBAL REYES UMBRÍA (Araure, Portuguesa State,, 1976) [ español ] He is a poet, dissertator student at the School of Arts of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). He has published the book Son seis [They Are Six] ( La Espada Rota , 2002), an anthology of the homonimous literary group to which he belongs. He has published articles in magazines and national newspapers, and his poems can be found in different anthologies of the Venezuelan contemporary poetry. He attended the poetry workshop dictated by poet William Osuna at Fundarte, and he has offered recitals in several cities of the country. He participated in the 'Semana Aniversaria del CONAC' [CONAC's Anniversary Week], held at the Bolivar Square in Caracas (2002). He was invited to recitals during the 10 th International Book Fair in the years 2003 and 2005 (Caracas-Venezuela). He was one of the organizers of the 2 nd World Poetry Festival ‘Venezuela 2005' . During the event, he coordinated 124 recitals of communities from all 22 Caracas Municipalities. He has been a bookseller at the ‘Kuai-Mare' National Network of Venezuelan Books. He is now coordinator and editor of the ‘Alfredo Maneiro' Politics and Society Collection of the Ministry of Culture's ‘El Perro y La Rana' publishing house. |
